Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams - ‘The Last Lecture’

A very interesting speach from a truely inspirational person.

“Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. A personal A level Moment

Having just received my daughters A and AS level results, I feel I want to share with the world the unbelievable pride one feels as a parent. We are all tremendously proud of our kids but there are times when you find it hard to express.

You live your life through your children and as I watched my daughter walk through the school gates to receive her results, both my wife and I felt sick to our stomachs for her. My second daughter who is abroad at the moment was calling to see if we had picked up her results yet. The tension was mounting and after what felt like an eternity my daughter emerged.

Initially, I was confident that she had done well by the way she was walking and speaking to some people, but as she left them her face changed and uncontrollable tears and emotion filled her entire being. My heart dropped as I muttered to my wife - this is not good. We ran towards her to comfort her and hardly able to get the words out, through tears she wailed - I got 4 A’s. Her subjects if you are interested were English, History, politics and Psychology.

With all the excitement and emotion going on we then looked at my other daughters AS results to discover that she had achieved 3 A’s and a B in her chosen subjects of Maths, Biology, Chemistry and French. We immediately called her and read out her results to again a flood of emotion and a slight hint of disappointment at missing out by 3 marks on an A in French. Having since read out all her results again to her at least 20 times, the realisation that her results were outstanding finally dropped and calm was restored.

I am always going on at Inspire how we strive to create moments in all that we do, how nice it is and what a pleasure as a parent to live with moments all the time through your children. Thank you girls for the moment and for being you!

Another letter!

Wow, we are truly honored by the kindness that Inspire has been receiving lately. We can’t thank our clients enough for the generous words. This letter just came in the post from the GM Trust.

Dear Simon,

Having now had a couple of days to reflect on Sunday’s event, Kerry and I wanted to write to you and the incredible team at Inspire.

Undoubtedly, one of the single best decisions we made in relation to the dinner was having the privilege of Inspire producing the event for us. Your dedication, commitment and genuine care not only for the event itself, but for the cause in general, leaves us speechless. As you know, Kerry and I have many balls to juggle in the chaos that is our life and to know that you were all there to ensure we had several less balls to juggle means more than words can say.

Without exception, every member of your wonderful team gave 110% and the results of this effort were clear to see. The countless messages we have received since the event have all referred to the seamless running of the event, the perfect and balanced tone of the evening and the exceptional quality of materials and presentation of every aspect of the evening.

I am proud to say that the event has so far raised an amazing amount and you should be proud of the massive contribution Inspire has made to this remarkable achievement.

We would be grateful if you could circulate this email to all at Inspire.

Thank you all for everything - you should be very proud, we are!

Best wishes

Kerry and Doron

Salute to Israel

Salute to Israel

Sunday saw the official UK salute to Israel parade march through central London followed by a festive rally in Trafalgar Square. Inspire worked on the branding for the event and it was a proud moment seeing the stage & banners we had designed being used at such a great event.

A Special Thank You

Today we received a very special thank-you from one of our clients and thought that we would share it with you. This is what everyone at Inspire gets up for in the morning…

Dear Simon,
On Sunday night we had an evening here at the seed offices and we showed the video that you created for us for the dinner. It really is a magnificent production that captures all that we wanted to communicate. It was a lovely opportunity for me to sit back and watch it without any pressure as our guests did on the evening of the dinner itself. It gave me a new appreciation of it. Thank you once again for your partnership and professionalism. I’m particularly grateful for your perseverance for our ‘many changes’ and your attitude throughout that this is seeds video and that Inspire would work with us until we were thrilled with the outcome. Indeed we were! The evening proved to be a wonderful success in all respects.
Many thanks
Malcolm

We would like to thank everyone at SEED for their very kind words and we hope to work with you again soon! It was our pleasure.

2008

untitled-1_f01.jpgsta716211.JPGhk-2006-fair-533.jpgThe start of 2008 has certainly been a busy one at Inspire. On the event side, we did all the communications and production for the Langdon Dinner and directed the evening that was held at the Banqueting House. Over the past few weeks we produced the Wizo 9oth anniversary dinner at the HAC and had the privelege of building the website, designing the marketing material, producing and directing the inaugaral GM trust dinnner held at the london Hilton Park Lane. www.thegmtrust.org The event was exceptionally inspiring and moving and a credit to the trustees Jeremy Shebson, Kerry & Doron Rosenfeld and all involved on the committee. We have also been busy on the communication front supporting all the events above and at the same time building websites for a variety of clients the latest one www.deaconassociates.com We are also involved in building a very exciting new golf website that will be launched this month. I also forgot that just for a bit of fun we produced a concert at the Watford Collesseum with a band called Shalsheles that attracted around a 1000 people. On a personal note, it is amazing to be working with such a talented and dedicated team at Inspire who managed all of the above with excellence. We were all reminded over the past few months, how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to play a small part in making a difference to peoples lives.

Catch Up

close-up-flowers.jpggfx.jpgstage-and-screens.jpgguildhall2.jpgHello again, After a busy few months I have remembered and found a few minutes to update our blog. We have been involved in some amazing productions over the last few months and 2 that stand out are the UJIA Dinner that we produced at the Roundhouse in Camden and the Nightingale Dinner at The Guildhall. It is an honour to be involved in meaningful charities and to have the opportunity to create an evening that help raise much needed funds. It is especially pleasing when we receive letters like the one below from our clients.

Hi Simon

Last night proved to be a sensational evening - Simon this is of course all due to your wonderful setup and lighting you certainly created the atmosphere!!!

The sound was perfect and there were no complaints, the Chairmans were thrilled with the use of the autocue which made their life easier!!!

We have had some fantastic feedback and we are so pleased that the Dinner proved to be a great success both socially and financially.

Thank you once again for providing such a professional service and I look forward to working with you again.

Ezer Mizion - Policy 4 Life

There can be no greater moment in the world than saving a life. The Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry - Policy 4 Life Campaign is a truly life saving campaign. In a world where so many things are not in our control, this is, we can do something to save lives. To get an idea of what this is all about, take 2 minutes to watch this inspiring clip of how a life was saved. I (Simon Maurer) believe that Life is made up of moments - this is without a doubt the definition of a Moment.[googlevideo]http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=8416807979186189445&q=policy4life&total=8&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0[/googlevideo]

Inspire had a real treat today when Josh our beloved web developer popped in with his wife Louise and their new born prince. We all got to hold the baby and were all reminded what it really is all about and the beautiful miracle of life! Thanks Louise and Josh for creating the moment!Inspire Family
